35 Year Old SCUBA Diver body found in a popular Melbourne Diving Site

- “There weren’t many people on the beach when it happened, but there was a group of divers out early,†she said.
The 35-year-old Gippsland man was diving with a friend at the Bay Beach also known as Safety Beach, when he got into difficulty shortly before 10am.
Wonthaggi Sergeant Andy Boldiston said the man was unconscious when divers dragged him from the water near the Wonthaggi Royal Life Saving Club.
He said paramedics and divers performed CPR in an effort to resuscitate the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

“There is an area off shore which is rocky and it is a popular place for people to learn to dive.”
